Ronald McDonald House Charities

Ronald McDonald House Charities is an independent American nonprofit organization whose stated mission is to create, find, and support programs that directly improve the health and well-being of children.

“It is really important for our children and their families as well as our staff to breathe clean air. Everyone is not suffering as much with allergies. I have at least two staff members with severe allergies who are doing much better since the AtmosAir system was installed. I usually had a lot of headaches and migraines, and the system has improved my overall health as well”.

- Jennifer Litomsky, Executive Director of the Ronald McDonald House in Detroit

Challenge

Ronald McDonald House is a facility filled with children who have compromised immune systems who are more susceptible to catching a common or serious illness. The facility wanted to provide clean, fresh air for these children and their families.

Solution

An AtmosAir air purification system was installed in the individual rooms as well as the common areas, 22 systems in total, to improve air quality and help prevent transmission of pathogens to occupants within the facility. In addition, an indoor air quality monitoring system was installed to provide real-time air quality data.
