Gensler constantly explores indoor air quality and workplace wellness initiatives to deliver innovative solutions to their clients and communities. Taking their commitment seriously, Gensler decided to implement air purification technology in one of their prominent locations, the Gensler “Jewel Box” in Los Angeles.
AtmosAir proposed its bipolar ionization technology be deployed at Gensler’s Los Angeles office. The campus is the first vertical urban creative campus in the downtown LA area. It is a three-level atrium building connected via a custom-designed bridge to an adjacent tower.
Gensler initiated a Proof of Concept in their Los Angeles office, showcasing their commitment to worldwide indoor air quality (IAQ) and workplace wellness designs. The implementation of AtmosAir technology resulted in cleaner, safer, and healthier air for Gensler staff members. Advanced air testing demonstrated significant reductions in IAQ contaminants, including a 40% decrease in VOCs, 34% reduction in PM10 particles and 30% reduction in PM2.5 particles.
Impressed by the positive outcomes, AtmosAir collaborated with Gensler on over 30 projects, leading to the installation of AtmosAir/AtmosAware systems in six Gensler offices across various cities, including Los Angeles, New York City, Chicago, Shanghai, Minneapolis, and San Francisco. Gensler San Francisco is actively monitoring their air quality using AtmosAware indoor air monitors. In 2017, Gensler produced a short video highlighting the value and impact of AtmosAir technology.
