Challenge
To measure the air purification effectiveness of AtmosAir’s systems for mold and mildew reduction due to humid climate temperatures for guest rooms at Hilton Lake Buena Vista in Orlando, FL.
Solution
AtmosAir bi-polar ionization air purification systems were installed into the fan coil units that serve each room. Air quality measurements were taken both before systems were installed and operating and with the AtmosAir systems operating. This was done to see the effect the AtmosAir systems would have on indoor air quality measurements. AtmosAir FC 100 systems were installed into the discharge section of the FCU in each room and air sampling was performed pre-AtmosAir system installation in 2017 and then repeated in 2019 post installation with AtmosAir systems operating.
Results
Significant TVOC and mold spore and VOC reduction was found in post testing following the installation and operation of AtmosAir’s systems.
