Fairfield, CT – January 17, 2018 – Johnson Controls (NYSE: JCI), the leading supplier of air handling and building controls equipment worldwide, and AtmosAirTM Solutions, the leading manufacturer of air purification systems using Bi-Polar Ionization, have partnered to deliver measurably cleaner indoor air quality. This collaboration will help JCI provide outstanding air purification performance in their YORK Air Handling Systems.
“We are thrilled to announce our partnership with Johnson Controls,” stated Steve Levine, President and CEO of Clean Air Group, Inc. who manufacturers the AtmosAirTM Solutions product line. “There has been so much recent press and research on the negative impact poor indoor air quality has on people’s health and well-being. AtmosAirTM technology is a sustainable solution as it actively enhances indoor air quality which allows buildings to reduce outside air per ASHRAE’s 62.1 IAQ procedure, saving energy and operating costs.
“Bi-polar ionization products from AtmosAir™ strengthen our growing strategy to provide innovative factory-integrated IAQ solutions in the YORK® family of air handling products. AtmosAirTM is the leading manufacturer of air purification using bi-polar ionization technology. We look forward to future opportunities to deliver this IAQ solution to our customers,” said Rob Tanner, Director of Marketing for Air Handling Systems at Johnson Controls.
Clean indoor air quality represents a major step toward transforming spaces into high-performance buildings, taking a fresh approach to performance while creating environments that are healthy, comfortable, and efficient.
In addition to air purification, YORK air handling units feature energy recovery, airflow monitoring, and advanced humidity control options that improve the building environment and better control temperature and humidity, while optimizing performance.
Steve Levine noted, “It is a big deal to all of us at AtmosAirTM that JCI felt we were the leader in offering innovative IAQ products that help people. DIY Health Risks – Including your air at home?

NO ONE WANTS TO LIVE IN A HOME polluted with harmful chemicals, right?

If you’re planning to take on a home remodel or “fixer-upper” type of project, we ask if you have ever paused to think about the chemicals and contaminants you are already exposed to and breathing in inside your home?

The Healthy Living Home Guide has made it easier to choose products that won’t contribute to indoor air pollution. The online guide was prepared by the Environmental Working Group, an advocacy organization that focuses on chemicals in consumer products.

The guide looks at health risks in every room of the house and gives suggestions on what to do about them. In the bathroom, for example, caulks and adhesives can emit high concentrations of VOCs, or volatile organic compounds. Drywall in your new bedroom can damage unprotected lungs or trap moisture and mold. And houses without the proper ventilation systems can circulate such gases as radon, a naturally occurring radioactive gas that can damage DNA and cause cancer.

Air quality is the guide’s main concern — and because people spend most of their time indoors, it makes sense to home in on the air they breathe. According to the Environmental Protection Agency, the air inside homes and other buildings can be more polluted than outside air in large cities.

At AtmosAir, we strive to protect your homes and families from harmful chemicals, allergens and contaminants.  Utilizing innovative Bi-Polar Ionization technologies, AtmosAir makes it possible for consumers to refresh their indoors with healthy air.  The system features sustainable AtmosAir BPI tubes that distribute negative and positive ions that travel into our breathing space to break down allergens, bacteria and cancer-causing gaseous elements.  Once these harmful particles and VOCs are removed from our breathing range, one’s breathing environment is essentially left pollution free!
