METRO China Provides Superior Air to Employees with AtmosAir Solutions

METRO China has occupied their China Headquarters for over a decade next to their store in Putuo District Shanghai. The building is at a premier location and it is useful for staff to be right next to one of METRO’s 90+ China stores.

However, being in an older building can have drawbacks, particularly when it comes to indoor air quality.  In addition to being in Shanghai, where outdoor air quality often exceeds health limits, METRO’s headquarters is located near a busy elevated roadway where braking and accelerating cars create plumes of brake dust and fuel emissions.

AtmosAir looked closely at the office’s existing HVAC and filtration systems and created a plan that included bi-polar ionization, additional filtration, and adjustment of the indoor air pressure relationship to the outside of the building.  With the plan fully executed, METRO’s employees now enjoy exceptional air quality that is often 5-10 times better than the air just outside their building.

For METRO, it was also important to share this information with their employees.  As a result, AtmosAir installed multiple air quality monitors throughout the space. The air quality data is then shared with employees via real time displays at the entrance and each floor of the building. Additionally, weekly reports are submitted to each employee, indicating how the average air quality throughout the work day compares to the air outdoors.

Aligning with AtmosAir’s core initiatives, METRO believes that with cleaner air, employees will be healthier, happier and more productive.

Canadian International School Provides Healthy Air in All Classrooms with AtmosAir

Canadian International School (CIS) prides itself on being at the forefront of technology and innovation among international schools.  This summer, at CIS’s new campus in Guangzhou, China, the school has taken their technology to the next level.  The classrooms are now equipped with AtmosAir purification systems and the latest sensor systems for measuring and communicating air quality.

Air quality is an issue in any large city, and Guangzhou is no exception.  Recent research shows that dirty air can inhibit cognitive processes and lead to more distracted and tired students, in addition to some of the longer-term consequences and diseases long associated with poor air quality.  In order to provide their students with the best air environment, CIS found one of the top air quality companies from the US and China.  AtmosAir serves such well known clients as the Los Angeles Lakers, Cleveland Cavaliers and University of Southern California among many others.

The systems CIS have installed does the following:

  • Creates mild positive pressure with filtered outside air so that dirty outside air cannot flow into the classrooms.
  • Ionizes the air with positive and negative oxygen to breakdown chemicals such as formaldehyde and any other chemicals from new renovation.
  • Introduces filtered outside air to further flush out any chemicals generated indoors.
  • Reduces bacteria and viruses in the air and on surfaces.

Moreover, CIS is so confident in the systems that we will be measuring the air quality in each classroom and sharing it with parents and teachers. CIS will have weekly reports that show the average air quality and CIS will compare that with the outdoor air quality levels.

CIS has taken this step because they value the health of their students, teachers and staff and believe in transparency with the environment they are providing them.  CIS is committed to providing the best learning environment with the healthiest air for their students and our team at AtmosAir is excited to collaborate with .
